This is a very nice hotel with pleasant, customer service oriented staff. The location was perfect as it’s behind the Main Street.
The room was clean and comfortable with a large walk in shower. The breakfast was great.
Slight downside was accessibility. I couldn’t get my wheelchair in the elevator without my husband’s help. The platform for the stairs next to the dining room required my husband to move it to the level so I could board it. We couldn’t get in the accessible door when we returned from dinner, so my husband had to go around to the main entrance on the other side of the hotel and back through the hotel to let me in. So I wouldn’t be able to do these things independently.
However, we would stay there again for sure, as everything else was so good! We will just work with it.

Lovely hotel, 'tired' but clean. Perfect location right next to cathedral and pedestrianised high street. Lovely breakfast was cooked to order as quiet.

A wonderful hotel perfect location next to Winchester Cathedral and just a few minutes walk from City centre but quiet location. On site parking, great breakfast comfortable room Great accommodation and excellent value for money. Highly recommended

Stayed on a Saturday night. Receptionist was pleasant & check in was seamless. Lovely room with views re of the cathedral. Nice walk in shower, bathroom clean. Huge bed with crisp bedding. Dressing gowns & slippers. Water & two cans of soft drinks in the fridge. Biscuits & tea coffee etc on a tray plus a coffee machine. We ran out but a very pleasant gentleman on receptionist gave me plenty more. It was nice to have a cuppa with the curtains open looking at the cathedral & listening to the church bells from the bed. We stayed a night on a room only basis & had a really comfortable nights sleep. Check out was at 12 pm on the Sunday clocks went forward so we were glad of that. Have stayed a couple of times many years ago & it’s a great location to explore Winchester. Shops & pubs are just around the corner. Parking on site £15 for 24 hours.

Friendly and very helpful staff. I left my phone charger in the room and they posted it back to me without any fuss. Although the hotel decor looks a bit dated it does have clean spacious rooms and is in a good central location. We also liked that the facilities we 'old style' i.e. a shower that works as it should without too many gadgets and gizmos and a bath with a proper plug so you can actually have a decent bath.

Sadly there were a few below par things. I was not offered the complimentary glass of prosecco, the bin in the en suite hadn't been emptied and it was UHT milk at breakfast. I didn't take advantage of the dinner upgrade and was pleased I hadn't. A very basic 'burger' menu. Whilst I appreciate that it was an offer I was disappointed that the hotel didn't live up to expectations

Very dated, said smart tv but had no apps or channels! Staff on reception wasn’t very helpful not a friendly welcome!
Kitchen said 24 hours but it wasn’t the bed was weird head board was seperate from the bed two single beds put together and a picture frame fell on my partners eye wasn’t put up correctly! The bath was nice! Other then that wouldn’t recommend
